General site information.

Willbuckingham.com is designed in CSS and XHTML, and runs using the wonderful textpattern. It is XHTML 1.0 compliant. As this is a heavily text-based site, I’ve designed it so that it should be as easy as possible to read on the screen, as well as simple to navigate. The typewriter image at the top of the page was taken by Chris Howell.

Plugins.

I’m also using some of the following textpattern plugins:

• vdh_image_caption (Displays captions under images)
• hak_article_image (Does nifty things with the article images)
• zem_contact_reborn (Provides a contact form)
• asv_amazon (Provides a pretty cover of books from the Amazon site)
• wet_amazonassoc (A neat way of adding Amazon links to this site)
• pap_contact_cleaner (gets rid of pesky spam when using zem_contact_reborn)

The following plug-ins are merely for administration purposes, but they are all invaluable:

• upm_image_popper (Because it makes life so much easier!)
• zem_article_info (Another extremely handy little add-on)
• lx_log (Useful for site statistics and things like that)

If all of this seems to make no sense, then it probably doesn’t matter. If, on the other hand, it does make sense, then you may be interested just to see how the site works!
