I’m slightly behind on updates here. But back in June, I was with my collaborator Dr. Hannah Stevens, talking about Tâigael: Stories from Taiwanese & Gaelic on TaiwanPlus, the premier international media platform providing English-language news and entertainment from Taiwan.
Taiwanese Tâi-gí and Gaelic are languages separated by thousands of kilometres — but both have a shared history of once being repressed. And this new book, Tâigael, is an ode to both languages, celebrating authors reviving their mother tongues.
