Straight from the Horse's Mouth: A Review of Twenty-Nine Goodbyes

I’m very pleased to have this review published today in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, a publication I’ve long admired. The review is of Timothy Billings’s wonderful Twenty-Nine Goodbyes, which explore the art of translation thorugh a study of twenty-nine translations of one of the most famous and most translated of all Tang dynasty poems.
