It’s a busy few days here, as I’m packing my bags to head off next Saturday to the Center for Liberal Arts and Sciences Pedagogy at Bard College in the US. I’ll be spending a week with my colleagues from the Open Society University Network to explore writing-based teaching practices.
It’s a particularly precious opportunity, as my work at Parami University in Myanmar is largely remote, given the unstable political situation in Myanmar. So this will be a chance to hang out with colleagues, to get to know folks better, and to spend a week of intensive writing. I’ll be focussing in particular on exploring hybrid approaches to writing nonfiction, and thinking a lot about my next big nonfiction project, which is currently at proposal stage (and about which I’ll say more soon!).
