A New Term in Myanmar

Earlier this week, the BBC World Service broadcast a documentary about education in post-coup Myanmar / Burma, produced by Mollie Davidson at 7Digital. The documentary focuses on the experiences of students studying at Parami University, where I am on the faculty.

I was a content consultant for the programme, as well as being interviewed about my own experience of working with students at Parami. And I’m delighted with how it has turned out.

The documentary can be found here, and it is free to listen to. The situation in Myanmar continues to be incredibly difficult and uncertain, and this documentary is a testimony to the commitment, creativity and sheer intelligence of the students at Parami with whom I work.
