Food and Stories in Ireland, with Wind&Bones

Next month, from the 9th to the 11th September, I’ll be over in Ireland with Wind&Bones, on a three-day writing residency at the Waterford Harvest Festival, run by the wonderful social enterprise, GIY.

The festival is a celebration of “food done right” — a collective exploration of sustainability, localism and community, with lots of tasty food thrown in.

With my Wind&Bones collaborator, Dr Hannah Stevens, I’ll be harvesting and sharing stories about food and place from the public. While there, we’ll also be working with GIY’s Bioregional Weaving Lab on developing a manifesto for changing the way we relate to the food we eat, the places we live, and the communities of which we are a part.
